» Maten Scripture - One of the "five founding scriptures of heaven & earth". This one disperses darkness, so Sanzo uses it to demolish youkai & assorted evil.

Sanzo was also given the Seiten Scripture, which creates light. That one was stolen when Koumyou Sanzo was murdered by you-know-who. The Scriptures are also called sutras.
